Post surgery sept 13

Dad is back in his room , talked with Dr and everything went well. Positioning is different, legs must be together and must be flat , no bending at hips, may bend knees. He will be in bed for 3 days , he may roll like a log, vac on his bottom til Monday. This will protect the skin graft. They gave him Valium in recovery, so he looks relaxed. They are going to restart the pain pump soon. Keep praying!

Day 52. We are home 🎉

Psalm 118:24 "Ths is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it". We are so happy and thankful to be in our home! Carl walked outside, took deep breath of fresh air and enjoyed the beauty of Gods creation. Home health will start tomorrow, follow up with the Doctors in the weeks ahead. Thank you - thank you to each of you who have helped us in many ways, prayers, visit, cards, gifts, paying for my stay at the Renucci House. We give God thanks for his precious healing on Carl's body and heart. Keep him in your prayers as he needs his wound to close, put weight back on, to eat to sustain his body and build his strength. Day 49 (completed 7 weeks) 26, 10 from last surgery

I looked back 2 days, the only new praise is that Carl can get in & out of bed by himself, then walks with walker. He is able to eat a little bit at a time now. The Dr this morning said maybe we can go home in a few days, we hardly dare get our hopes up. Carl put on pants and shirt, did a practice run of leaving the hospital, we enjoyed the breeze and sunshine. Please pray that he can eat more and be allowed to return to his own home. "I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." Jeremiah 31:25 God has been with us,  we are thankful for his presence, there is no way we could of done these last 7 weeks with out Jesus, family and friends! Love Carl & Jody
