Good news!

I (Jody) went to U of M yesterday for follow up . The doctor was very encouraging and kept saying “ how good I looked”. He didn’t have the same opinion as me regarding my weight. He said usually people loose too much weight.  My scans were good,  the test of my urine looking for cancer was negative. I will not have to return to U of M and will follow up with Dr Batts here in town every 3 months for next 18 months.  Carl is up to Evart, hunting..... life is feeling more normal.  Please keep us, family & friends in your prayers, be with anyone who is struggling with illness and not understanding why God allows this to happen.  I continue to experience God’s peace & hope, I am very thankful for this experience. Blessed  be His name. Jody  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

We received news yesterday that Carl's cancer was more invasive than they first suspected. The pathology on his tumor that was removed was positive for perineural invasion(PIN) meaning that it was involved in the nerves around the tumor. This is hard news to hear but Carl is young and strong and we pray that he is in the 25%. We know that God still performs miracles and we need to continue to faithfully and boldly pray for Carl and Jody and thank Him for the many blessings that our family has, and will continue to have over the next few years. None  of us knows the future but we know Who holds our future in His hands. Carl will get Cat Scans in February and next Dr appointment in March 2018. Praises: Carl is gaining weight, walking more with better endurance and less shortness of breath. Abdominal incision is getting smaller. H...
